About the Academy
Driven by the recognition of the importance of training and human resource development, the Water Academy embarked on its journey in 1982 with the objective of training employees in the water sector in both Jubail and Jeddah. Since then, the academy has been dedicated to training and human capital development, keeping pace with the latest methodologies, systems, and training practices in the sector. This journey has continued for more than 40 years, producing highly qualified professionals who have earned recognition in both the public and private sectors.
During 2010–2011, the academy expanded its training services to employees of other sectors following the Board of Directors' approval for investment-based operations. This initiative was part of a commercial transformation project, enabling the academy to attract numerous trainees from both the public and private sectors, domestically and internationally. This expansion opened broader horizons for training, elevating the quality and global reach of its services while disseminating knowledge in line with an ambitious vision aimed at enhancing the sustainability of water production.
The academy aims to provide a comprehensive educational and training experience, leveraging modern learning methodologies and technologies to align with current objectives and market training demands. It aspires to elevate human competencies and prepare them for the job market, contributing to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
